Durable MPI-Tested Steel Construction
For extreme durability, the Aero Precision .308/7.62 Bolt Carrier Group is constructed from 8620 Tool Steel (Carrier) and case-hardened 9310 Steel (Bolt). It is then coated with high-quality Nickel Boron (NiB), which is much easier to clean than black nitride coatings and increases the overall lubricity of .308 builds.
The BCG is Magnetic Particle Inspected (MPI) to ensure no hidden cracks or stress points, and all bolt components are shot-peened to reduce friction during use and provide long-lasting, reliable performance. - High-pressure bolt–external surfaces are CNC ground after heat treatment for a precision fit, and the firing pinhole diameter is reduced to .070″
