Years of creative product development and cutting-edge technical methods have led to the creation of the FNX 45. The Fnx 45 is a double-action/single-action hammer-driven handgun with significantly improved ergonomics. It is modeled after the FNPTM-45 service pistol, first released in 2007 as part of the U.S. Joint Combat Pistol Program.
Fully ambidextrous manual safety/decocking, slide stop, and magazine release levers make it simple to use with either hand and from any firing position. The barrel and slide are both made of stainless steel. The checkered polymer frame of the Fnx 45 contains several removable backstraps with lanyard eyelets. Tactical lights and lasers can be mounted on the underside using a MIL-STD-1913 mounting rail.
